Are you a ‘Doer’ or a ‘Gonna do’?
Which little voice in your head do you listen to? The one that tells you ‘yes you can reach you goal’ or the one that says ‘I’ll get around to working out sometime’. Well it’s mind over muscle, if you work those muscles hard you will reap the benefits of a toned body, weight loss and almost more important, that feeling of fatigue and exhilaration at the same time when you have pushed yourself to the limit and you know you are on your way to achieving your fitness goals.
Mantras or Self Talk – are a great way to motivate yourself. Keep repeating your mantra daily and throughout your workout. Something like “I feel strong” or “I can lift this extra weight” or “this feels good” even if it is damn hard. Whatever positive phrase you repeat to yourself you will come to believe and it will spur you on to succeeding at whatever you try. It works!
